Wow! This was such an epic conclusion to the trilogy! I have to say that A Court of Wings and Ruin was by far my favorite of the three because everything that the other two books are laying the groundwork for take place in this book. There are battles filled with tension wherein you don't know if the characters that you love will survive to fight another day. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time! I did think that one of the fights which took place between the king and another character was a bit anti-climatic after all of the build up towards who would fight him and who would come out on top. I also thought that the end was a bit too pretty and neat for a trilogy that dealt with so many enemies and battles. Please don't misunderstand...the battles were well done. They were brutal with death and destruction happening on both sides, one more so than the other. I loved these parts of the book the most! I didn't mind it as much but I could see how some might find it annoying. I thought that the development of the characters was done really well and loved how they each ended up by the end. I also liked the author's choice to not have every character paired up or in a relationship by the end even though some relationships were hinted at.
