Inspired by the Rapunzel series, this is the golden-haired princess as you’ve never seen her before.
Golden Chains was just as good as the first book! Readers finally get to meet La Dame and she is just as terrifying as I imagined that she would be. She is cruel and ruthless. I loved to hate her! I found that I was confused by her motivations by the end of the book though so I am hoping that my questions about that are answered in the third book.
I loved Etta! She was just as fierce as she was in Golden Curse but there was more vulnerability to her because of the situations that she finds herself in. When we left her in the first book, she was being brought before the king and things go downhill from there. My favorite part of the book was the beginning because we get to see her go through terrible things and come out the other side. She is beginning to realize who she is and what is needed from her because of the curse and the magic that she possesses. It was amazing to see her journey continue with new characters being introduced and having to battle for those she cares for again.
Second books can suck some I’m glad to see this one doesn’t.
